You will preferably be based in the Glasgow office but the Edinburgh office may also be considered. The consultant role will principally incorporate the following elements:
  • Provide hydrology and modelling support within a large team of hydrologists and engineers for a range hydrological and river basin studies on behalf of both public and private sector clients;
  • Hydraulic modelling of river and/or coastal environments;
  • Hydrological assessments;
  • Flood risk assessments;
  • Input into cross-disciplinary projects (e.g. ecology, environmental impact assessment, engineering); and
  • Liaison with clients, regulators, sub-contractors and colleagues to deliver an effective service.
The candidate: Your skills and experience will include:
  • Honours or Master’s degree in hydrology or relevant environmental or engineering discipline;
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, water engineering, geomorphology, river restoration and/or environmental assessment;
  • Basic knowledge or experience using ArcGIS or similar;
  • Experience using 1D or 2D modelling packages such as Info works RS, Flood Modeller or HEC-RAS;
  • Consultancy experience in project management and delivery;
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation and guidelines across the UK;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Full UK drivers licence.

  • Master degree in law - a major in telecommunication law or business law is a strong asset
  • Good knowledge or relevant experience in the Asian market. Any additional experience with other geographical markets will definitely be a plus.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years professional experience in an international law firm or in the legal and regulatory department of a multinational company
  • Good knowledge of international commercial contract law and business law
  • Keen interest for legal and regulatory work in the telco sphere and voice over IP sector is a must
  • Excellent drafting & negotiations skills
  • Proficient knowledge of English, any other language would be a strong advantage too

Scope Based in the UK, in the Preston office, you are responsible for rolling out communication in the UK as well as in other nuclear English speaking countries. However, you are part of the Group communication team and as such also contribute to transversal projects across the division. Application Systems Analyst Location: Upminster, UK Salary: GBP 23,000.00 - GBP 25,000.00 Per Annum Job Level: Junior Industry: Logistics & Supply Chain Function: Research, Science & Analytical Description Main purpose: The company are recruiting for an Applications Systems Analyst to join their exciting and challenging customer service team in Upminster. The Customer Service Desk operates in the UK and China and supports the company’s applications and our customers in the UK and partners throughout the world. This role is responsible for ensuring that the applications are continually reviewed and used effectively among the group. The IT department supports the group’s following applications: · One World · Email Outlook · Active Directory · Warehouse Management Systems · Freight Management Systems · Transport Management Systems · Accounts system · Delivery Management Systems In this role you will be expected to: · Map and understand the business processes and applications and the respective business processes · Understand the business needs for the application and the varieties of the application’s offerings · Provide reports on application capabilities and user roles · Provide a process for testing a new application processes to perform integration testing prior to UAT · To work with the business to ensure UAT is carried out accordingly and gain business approval sign off · Research and integrate all application functionality · Build a library and document all application use and training material · Produce a check list of yearly updates and upgrades along with timelines for testing and implementation · Understand and translate training manuals into practical use · Work with management to prioritize business and information needs · Locate and define new process improvement opportunities · Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments To succeed in the role you must have: · Experience of customer service · Strong analytical skills · Bachelor’s degree · Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint You will be able to demonstrate: · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · The ability to take ownership of a problem/task and ensure its resolution or completion · Experience of being a collaborative team worker and willing to share knowledge · Ability to troubleshoot and remain calm under pressure · Ability to demonstrate time management dependent on priorities · A passion to pursue development as an individual and as a team · The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions · Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy The position may require travel to other UK offices.
