This is a temporary position for 6 months starting on the 1st March 2021 and is paying between &163;11.76 and &163;15.13 per hour depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing advanced technical support and delivering complex technical resolution and solutions. You will also have the ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to work. Duties include: To provide effective 1st and 2nd line ICT support across the Trust. To maintain the existing ICT infrastructure by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures. Reconfigure complex network computer systems to deal with service demands and user requirements. Modify user accounts to control access to applications. Ensure through the use of complex ICT systems that access to users is maintained allowing only the correct level of usage. Ensure that through reporting and querying that correct and proper usage is maintained of all ICT systems. Deliver user training and advice on the use of specialist packages. Participate in the provision of an effective and efficient fault resolution service, recording actions via the ICT ServiceDesk , and comply with the escalation procedure to ensure minimum disruption of ICT services. Assist in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software. Deploy PCs and associated software and peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment. Ensure effective fault finding and problem solving to high or complex level Assist in the development and maintenance of documented procedures for the operation of ICT systems under the control of ICT services. Supervision of hardware and software engineers while on-site during system installations, upgrades or repairs Responsible for the correct and safe use of expensive and specialist I.T equipment. Provide assistance to, and work closely with the Infrastructure support and Operations teams. Participate in testing of new systems. Participate in disaster recovery testing of existing systems. Work closely with junior staff to provide practical guidance and training. Ensure that ICT system, equipment and line faults are repaired in a suitable timescale and to a satisfactory standard Work with users and suppliers on all aspects of ICT services including those of a more complicated nature. Assist in the testing and development of ICT systems to aid future Trust requirements. Ensure that through the use of complex diagnostic tools the Trust’s networks are maintained to the highest standard. Where required carry out specialised diagnostic fault finding You must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle, part of the role will involve travelling around different sites. Hours of work are between 8:30 and 4:30 Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
