Knowledge of database management, Windows and other operating systems and different programming languages is required. The successful candidate will have an understanding of IM&T systems, and the principles and approaches that influence their performance. You will be familiar with the ITIL Framework and using the Service Now application. You will be required to undertake installs, commissioning, fault diagnosis and enhance solution performance for applications such as Tableau, Planning Analytics, Cognos Analytics and wide range of tools used within the Data Science domain such as Python, Jupiter Note Book, R. You will be able to use technical knowledge to troubleshoot incidents, identify issues, implement fixes or workarounds, and take ownership of root cause analysis of the incident, escalating to senior IM & T System Administrators where appropriate. You will have a good understanding of how your activities integrate into the activities of the technical teams plus an understanding of the work of the design team. The candidate will require good communication skills and be customer focused; must understand technical instructions and be able to communicate technical information to others. Key Responsibilities: Day to day support of Business Intelligence and Analytics Competency Centre (BIACC) IT solutions Respond to work requests in line with Customer SLA’s Support the planning and prioritisation of a range of IM&T activities Support fault investigation tasks Implement the successful rollout of new or changed SW/HW and update relevant documentation Assist in the development of Systems and Services Assist in the continuous improvement on Systems and Services Responsible for the configuration, installation and maintaining, Applications, Hardware and Services in support of the (BIACC) including patching Provide technical understanding on system administration, knowledge of data base architecture and supporting application layers Run and maintain Software development environments Essential Experience SQL SQL Server 2016 – 2019 Familiarity with Backup and Restore, and configuration of SQL Server, User administration Roles, database sizing.
