JOB DESCRIPTION

Scope

Based in the UK, in the Preston office, you are responsible for rolling out communication in the UK as well as in other nuclear English speaking countries. However, you are part of the Group communication team and as such also contribute to transversal projects across the division. As such, you need to be ready to travel when required (average once a month) to Paris to work with the rest of the communication team.

Your main focus is the nuclear sector, in the UK as well as in other English-speaking countries within the group.

External Communication

– Press and public relations in the UK and other English-speaking countries: with the help and validation of the Group communication director and Nuclear SVP, you define the press and public relations strategy in English speaking countries, with a strong focus on the UK, you manage the PRs agencies, you contribute to the production of all relevant communication supports.

– Event: You are in charge of organizing external events in England or for English speaking teams abroad (Russia, Turkey, India…) such as customer events, conferences, trade shows, recruitment events etc.

– Editing: You are responsible for drafting external news in English (e.g. business wins, participating in a trade show in nuclear English speaking countries, acquisitions, etc.) for the website, the blog etc.. (news, leaflet, etc).

– Proofing: you validate all English communication supports before they are released (leaflets, press releases, …)

Internal Communication

– You specify and carry out internal communications campaigns for the UK (e.g. on business wins, participation to tradeshows, internal events and so on),

– You are in charge of relaying and/or adapting the Group internal communications to the UK team as well as other nuclear English speaking countries

– You are also in charge of sharing news from the UK at the division level and with other countries when necessary

– You can contribute when necessary to certain internal communication actions at the Group level (e.g. deploying internal communications tools, drafting news to be shared at division level, etc.).

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • You are a native English speaker
  • You have a very good knowledge of the nuclear or at least energy industry
  • You have a very good expertise in press and public relations
  • You have very good writing skills
  • You are very organized, proactive and autonomous
  • You like working in a dynamic environment, always ready to take on new challenges
  • Speaking French is an advantage but is not mandatory

ADDITIONAL INFO

Location

The position is based in Preston, UK or Paris. In the first case, it will require monthly trips to Paris. In the second case, it will requires monthly trips to the UK.

You are part to the Group communication department and report to the Group communication director

Security clearance:

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance.
