JOB DESCRIPTION
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
This position is a national role and travel around the UK is an essential part of this position. The role will be based in Cold Meece.
Sales / Business Development Manager
· Field-based solution sales to gas utilities networks and contractors throughout the UK.
· Take ownership of and develop specific market sectors.
· Undertake client meetings.
· Fielding commercial and technical queries.
· Develop technical concepts.
· Identify potential leads for future sales.
· Responding to customer queries in a professional manner.
· Building inter-departmental relationships within Orbital.
· Produce weekly / monthly / quarterly Sales reports.
· Production of technical quotations.
· Attend conferences and exhibitions.
· Working in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of proven technical solution sales experience
- Minimum of a HNC in a related Engineering discipline.
- Control, Instrumentation, Analytical Instrumentation or Gas Analyser technical solution sales experience.
- Consultative sales approach, understanding the formation of long-term relationships and development partnerships.
- Solid understanding of project life cycle.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work well with others and lead by example.
- Excellent organisation and planning.
- Attention to detail.
- Plan and organise weekly and monthly activity reports.
- Go the extra mile to get the job done.
- Full driving licence (max of 3 points).
