Description:

The company is a leader and innovator in the connected car market, is looking for a driven and results-oriented Program Manager to manage the delivery of a connected car solution into a large Automotive & Insurance customer.

This person will be responsible for all aspects of the project and program delivery with both the customer and service supplier partners to the company.

The role requires high level collaboration with other key functions such as product management, product development, account management, operations and finance, for a successful delivery. We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a proven track record of successfully delivering project and programs of work into major customer accounts.

This role reports to the VP Program Delivery and Operations within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Daily project and program management throughout the program life cycle to a Tantalum Key Account (one of the company’s market leading Automotive & Insurance accounts World-Wide)

• Competence in managing the six aspects of a project, i.e. scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources.

• Definition of and adherence to the program governance structure in conjunction with customer and supplier PMO’s – to include all project documentation

• Complete ownership of the plan to deliver the company platform and services to the end customer

• Ensure a clear vision of the program is defined and maintained; ensure the program is delivered to meet the vision with the highest possible quality

• Ensure project progress is clearly monitored and progress communicated to all stakeholders, both internal and external

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure alignment on program status and customer requirements

• Ensure customer expectations are both managed and met

• Managing risks and issues, taking corrective measures where required in agreement with customer, supplier and internal stakeholders

• Coordinating all related projects and their interdependencies

• Managing and utilizing resources as required across projects

• Managing the project finances and reporting to management

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• BA or BS degree. Master’s Degree will be advantageous

• Minimum of 7-10 years’ proven track record delivering large scale projects and programs to external customers within telecommunications, automotive, Insurance, technology consulting or high-quality technology products/services industries

• Experience in the telecommunications industry, connected car and automotive markets and IOT technologies will also be advantageous

• History and track record of achievement in project and program management roles to external customers

• Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques

• Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels up to and including board level within large corporations

• Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures

• The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems

• Strong leadership and management skills, an ability to be pragmatic but firm

• Excellent organisation skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
