Job Description:
BUSINESS PLANNING AND GRANTS ADVISORY ACCOUNTANT

THIS ROLE REPRESENTS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR A RECENTLY QUALIFIED ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONAL TO DEVELOP YOUR CAREER IN A SPECIALISED DEPARTMENT.

You will work within our grants team which has helped clients secure over £200m of funding in the past 6 years, as well as supporting our rapidly growing Managed Services (COMS) team which provides year-round and one-off project support to clients across all aspects of the internal finance function.

This role represents an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accounting professional to develop your career in a specialised department which is widely recognised as one of the leading players within the sector.

Accountant – business planning and grants advisory team

The key duties of the role are:

• Preparation of grant applications including completion of application forms, preparation of financial projections and outline business plans

• Appraisal of grant applications, including preparation of detailed appraisal reports

• Completion of grant claim audit work and preparation of independent accountants’ reports

• Provision of state aid guidance to clients (training will be provided in state aid matters)

• Preparation of ad-hoc integrated financial projections and business plans

You will need:

• Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or exam qualified)

• Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

• Have some previous experience of report writing

• Have the confidence to deal directly with clients

• Be driven to deliver excellent client service

• Have a track record in delivering to tight client deadlines
