With warehousing facilities in Liverpool and Dublin, we stock the UK & Ireland’s widest range of tyres and wheels, servicing the truck, agricultural and industrial segments. Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Business Analyst and Head of Technology, you will help to define reporting requirements across all departments, with a view to concentrating on assistance to the purchasing department once you have a good understanding of the business. You will be reporting on financials, service, product utilisation, and customer satisfaction as well as identifying trends through insightful analysis of the data. The need to be agile is key as the business is constantly changing, so a project orientated mind is essential with the ability to be proactive. The ideal candidate must have commercial awareness with the ability to identify and understand market trends and the implication of competitor actions. Key skills & responsibilities · Preparing reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools, creating data dashboards, graphs, and visualisations · Communicating data insights to the directors, team managers and the wider team to ensure the most important metrics are made aware of in the company · Monitoring and auditing data quality · Identifying, evaluating, and implementing services and tools to support data validation and cleansing · Liaising with internal and external clients to fully understand data content · Identifying areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes · Setting up and maintaining automated data processes The successful candidate will have/be: · Highly numerate · A strong focus and pragmatic approach to problem solving · Highly analytical in approach · High levels of accuracy and quality · Statistical and technical expertise · High levels of curiosity and creativity (innovative) · A team player · Excellent communication and presentation skills · Willingness to learn and educate on all areas of group business · Experience in leading and defining business improvement processes · Able to produce accurate and concise reporting and commentary · A detailed understanding of reporting / data · Experience in an analytical role, with a demonstrable ability of gathering reporting requirements and subsequent deliveries · A high level of Excel and MS office skills · An aptitude to continually pick-up new reporting skills and practices, through training provided and self-teaching · The ability to readily adapt to the fluid demands of the business and its clients · Experience in database management and query writing (MS SQL and/or MS Access) · Experience in MS Power BI, Crystal Reports and/or similar front end reporting tools (desirable) · Experience using SAP Business One management software (desirable) Please note that this position is based in Speke, Liverpool and cannot be done remotely.
