The Role
The company is hiring a blockchain developer for our team in Berlin, to help us build applications on the Tezos blockchain. We are a small but growing cross-functional team of developers and strategists who believe that blockchain technology has the potential to empower people across the globe.

Tezos is an environmentally-friendly proof-of-stake blockchain. Our team is supporting the Tezos Foundation with applications to build the ecosystem of the blockchain for users and developers. We’re looking for developers to help deliver compelling applications to blockchain users. This means dealing with P2P networking, consensus algorithms, cryptography, databases, and decentralised applications. In this role, you will design and develop software, and provide support for our product development and educational programs that build awareness, as well as encourage and empower people to build their products on the Tezos ecosystem. Knowledge and experience of other languages is of course an advantage.

Since we are growing, this is an opportunity to actively help shape the direction of your work, and to explore and implement new ideas in an agile and collaborative environment. The software that we produce is open-source, so you will have a chance to show the world what you can do.

What You’ll Do

-Write code and conduct reviews of code written by project team members
-Deliver high quality, impactful solutions for collaborations within the Tezos ecosystem
-Maintain existing product / project integrations with collaborators from our community / educational ecosystems
-Contribute to cross-functional teams to deliver exciting content, workshops, events, hackathons and focus sessions designed to help developers evaluate our platform and learn how to contribute to community-driven innovation

What We’re Looking For
-Based in Berlin, or willing to relocate
-Enjoy working collaboratively within an agile team
-Willingness to learn the languages we need to do our jobs and have the judgement to choose the right one for the problem at hand
-Want to contribute to an open-source project with a wide set of stakeholders and many future applications
-Well-versed in managing the software development lifecycle — from assessing requirements, designing, coding, testing the back-end, front-end, and database solutions, and maintaining said systems
-Some mixture of the following competencies: -Functional programming, Algorithm analysis and design, Quantitative financial analysis, -Smart contract design and programming, Infosec, and specifically blockchain security, Formal verification

Nice to have
-Should be willing to learn the CameLIGO programming language to interact with Tezos blockchain
-German language ability
