We’re looking for a creative Fibre Planner that can interpret blueprints on-site, answering queries from the Contractors and authorities that help us to build. You’ll also assume accountability for the project management, collaborating with our Designers to deliver the best broadband possible. In addition, you’ll; Be responsible for the management and governance of works in compliance with guidelines and code of practice Manage and advise on capacity within the Fibre In The Home city Help to develop, implement and champion network elements Forecast Capital Expenses and Operating Expenses for designed infrastructure projects Making sure that the designs produced by the consultancy are build-able, meet architectural requirements and are the most cost effective. Provide support by continuing to identify opportunities for further cost savings as well as identifying re-route options where issues arise that prevent a planned route from being followed. Responsible for ensuring that all as-built documentation is produced (by the contractor) to the required standard during and at the end of each primary node build. Experience Required ·As a Fibre Planner you’ll be a planning expert for civil routes and fibre. With your solution-orientated approach, you’ll drive improvements across our team and cultivate key relationships, contributing to the success of our network. You’ll also have; A minimum of 3 years experience as a Fibre Planner with a background in fibre/copper engineering – designing fibre networks utilising Openreach infrastructure Experienced in fibre routing, fibre allocation, Straight Line Diagrams and job pack development Commercial awareness and experience in producing designs which meet strict cost constraints Drivers Licence
