Your opportunity is to join the team as a n AWS DevOps Engineer , within an organisation where technology is at the heart of everything they do. About the Role As the new AWS DevOps Engineer, you will be helping to stand-up an AWS instance to support the Alpha phase of a significant, government-backed development project using Terraform (IaaS) . You will work as part of the project team to configure and support the envi ronment as needed and work with project peers to gain a clear understanding of the AWS components and supporting configuration . You will have the following experience: A strong understanding of provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code technologies, ideally Terraform and Docker. Experience of building and maintaining AWS ECR and ECS fully managed container instances. In-depth knowledge of building scalable solutions in AWS EC2 Compute and AWS serverless compute technologies such as Lambda functions Strong AWS troubleshooting experience. Experience of AWS database technologies such as RDS and DynamoDB Knowledge of application monitoring platforms such as AWS Cloudwatch . Strong scripting writing skills using languages such as Bash. Solid knowledge of CI/CD using Git/GitHub. Experience using software development packages such as NodeJs , NPM. Utilising AWS SDKs and CLIs when developing and managing AWS workloads The following experience is desirable, but not required: Previous experience of a similar large-scale deployment of a data collection application Experience in the education or UK Government sector Any experience of Azure and associated technologies would be beneficial but is not required. Experience of training, coaching, or mentoring other technical resource in new technologies.
