The candidate will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and analysing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytics requests, and the development and automation of regular reports. The primary focus of this role will be developing data led insights and recommendations relating to our marketing activities. This will require a range of analysis, reporting and story-telling to inform key decisions relating to our product and marketing activities. Beyond this core focus, you will support the Insights and Analytics team in developing insights across other areas of the business to drive the business towards data and insight led decision making and analytic led improvements. As such, the successful candidate will be an excellent analyst and communicator, who champions insight that drives Marketing effectiveness and other areas of business improvement and performance. The role will be forward facing and provide key opportunities to build relationships through the use of data within marketing and beyond. Key Tasks > Provide actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions > Track, report, and analyse the performance of all marketing activities > Analyse external and internal customer data using database queries, Excel models, web analytics tools, statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools > Run and analyse A/B and multi-variate tests, communicate results and provide recommendations > Create PowerPoint presentations to provide market and consumer insights > Work closely with commercial financial, sales, and marketing teams with a good understanding of qualitative and quantitative financial models > P&L building taking into account digital marketing channels to drive the overall performance of the website > Derive data-driven insights from available datasets to inform decision-making and marketing strategy > Identify areas for improvement and cost saving through an analytical approach across owned, earned and paid media. > Utilise available tools, including Excel, SQL, Google Cloud Platform, Python, Tableau, PowerBi, Data Studios > Working with third party agencies to provide data insights to grow JLA’s business lines, including sales, marketing, data and insights teams > Deliver and set-up automated reporting for internal and external use through to help increase productivity, focus marketing efforts and give the business an the business an holistic on lead generation performance Knowledge and Skills Essential > Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis > Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen > Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills > Good communicator – able to translate complex problems into simple solutions (written and verbal) > Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy > Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Desirable > Innovation and IoT > Excel, SQL, Google Cloud Platform, Python, Tableau, PowerBi, Data Studios Experience & Qualifications Essential > Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role > Experience in advanced analytic and statistical techniques related multivariate and A/B testing, digital revenue attribution, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness > Experience building and automating management level reporting > Experience modeling and reporting in Excel/Access and SQL > Experience with web analytics, web optimization, or data management platforms > Experience with Tableau or similar data visualisation tools > Experience in statistical analysis (SAS or R) Desirable > Experience of working in Financial Services or Subscription business in B2B or B2C > BSc graduate in quantitative or computer science discipline
