The company’s growing Orlando, Florida team is looking for a Traffic Signal Systems Timing Engineer to join them. The successful candidate will have experience in traffic operations and transportation planning, with traffic signal retiming experience.

Responsibilities

Work on projects involving traffic signal timing optimization and implementation to maximize transportation system throughput (using SYNCHRO, Tru-Traffic TS PPD, and similar programs)
Work on traffic simulation of intersections, corridors and road networks using CORSIM, VISSIM or related software
Support policy and design guidance documents for traffic, technology, and control devices
Understanding of traffic signal operations including familiarity with various controller types and platforms, design, and systems.
Complete traffic safety and operational improvement studies for localized intersections and corridors
Provide analyses of traffic safety issues and crash reduction measures
Skills & Abilities

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
The ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently
A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of FDOT design specifications and requirements
Expertise with Synchro and SimTraffic; experience with VISSIM a plus
Qualifications

3-5 years of experience
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Base Salary – $47,000 to $68,000
