The company is a highly established independent consultancy with a national presence, seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Residential Development Engineer to join the successful team based at our Bristol office.
Working closely with our Transport and Urban Design teams, the successful candidate will work to provide the best value solutions, coordinate and deliver engineer and design details/information in line with the brief, building regulations and budget.
As a new role in this rapidly expanding office, you will be key in procuring technical approvals for all Engineering aspects, including the adoption of roads & sewers, producing the necessary working drawings related to highway and drainage design and managing the initial technical submissions for approval by statutory authorities (S38, S278).
In addition to this you will advise on and commission the appointment of external consultants (for site investigations, structural and civil services, topographical, environmental investigations and dilapidation surveys, flooding reports and transportation assessments, etc)
Requirements:
The role requires you to have extensive experience of working with national housebuilders, and to be familiar with infrastructure design, possessing knowledge and a clear understanding of Highway and Sewer design, and Civil Engineering design standards.
The role demands the highest standards of client care as the successful candidate will deliver market leading consultancy advice, necessitating a sound understanding of client requirements on projects and recognition of competing stakeholders’ interests, combined with effective commercial and resource management.
Candidates are therefore expected to have the ability to not only bring in new clients but to also build upon the Group’s reputation and encourage returning clients and repeat business.
