The company is looking for a Automation Java Engineer to come and join them as they continue with exciting projects and building industry-leading products.
As one of the most exciting companies in the VoIP tech space, the company is growing fast. With headquarters in Brussels and development centres in Brussels, Dublin and Iași, they’re creating a technology platform and developing tools to revolutionise the way companies use VoIP for business.
You will be part of a multi-skilled team that’s delivering a great user experience, based on different architectures. They need fearless innovators who are able to understand complex challenges and provide quality integrated solutions. They use a mixture of agile, kanban and scrum methodologies and our technology stack consists of backend services written in Java on top of MariaDB and RabbitMQ and a number of frontend applications written in AngularJS, Angular or JSF.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
– Keep improving our CI/CD environment to support other teammates not only in development but also in QA, systems, operations and product management
– Plan and organize all development releases
– Monitor release process together with your teammates
– Automate the setup of all the different developments environments
– Provide support to the team for frameworks / tools upgrades
– Standardize all the different development environments
– Be part of the incident management: monitoring and dispatching
– Support the team with the problem resolution
– Work closely with your team incorporating feedback from product management and other stakeholders to create optimally integrated solutions
– Rapidly handle critical incidents by solving them or making sure they are resolved in a timely manner by the team
– Pro-actively look for ways to make the company better
– Be an active participant in discussions about design and architecture
– Be passionate about technology and quality deliverables
– Be an advocate for best practices in software development (peer – programming, TDD, high code coverage unit and integration tests, etc.)

– Good Java skills

– Understanding of software engineering concepts such as: common data structures and algorithms, design patterns, etc.
– A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance, knowledge of automation
– To be a team player, not afraid to communicate clearly on issues and progress
– To be competent with database concepts and SQL
– Experience with Jenkins, Docker & Maven
We’d be extra happy if you had:
– Experience with Java 8, Hibernate and Spring 4
– Experience with Cloudstack / AWS
– Experience with message and job queuing services (RabbitMQ)
– Experience with MySQL/MariaDB
– Experience with Ansible / other automation engines
– Comfortable working with Git version control
– Experience with Cassandra and Elastic Search
– Good communication skills in English
